AAMC 2011: Online strategies
Digital strategies primarily focus on how organizations can benefit from technological developments. In the case of cultural institutions, such strategies ought go beyond an utilitarian approach and critically reflect on technology in order to historically contextualize it in our current society.
Presentation for the '10th Anniversary Annual Meeting of the Association of Art Museum Curators' in New York City. The meeting lasted for three days starting at the Guggenheim Museum, followed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and El Museo del Barrio. The presentation 'Digital Strategies' was part of the panel 'Publishing in the Digital Age' with Nik Honeysett (J. Paul Getty Museum), Ed Marquand (Marquand Books) and Max Marmor (Samuel H. Kress Foundation).
