She is specialized in measuring the success of online campaigns and in implementing the Barcelona Principles for the cultural sector. The Barcelona Principles are a set of seven voluntary guidelines established by the public relations (PR) industry to measure the efficacy of PR campaigns. She presented the Barcelona Principles to the Dutch museum community at the Museumcongres in 2013. Janique gives workshops about online communication to various organisations on a regular basis.
Janique has a degree in Cultural Heritage (specialized in marketing) from the Reinwardt Academy in Amsterdam. As part of these studies, she worked at the Van Gogh Museum and was, together with other students, for two weeks in charge of the Netherlands Fortress Museum.
