Limburgs Museum

A cultural historic museum in Venlo, the Netherlands.

The story of man in Limburg is a central theme in the Limburgs Museum, and is supported by its collection. The museum has an extensive archaeological collection, the oldest pieces date from the Neolithic. The ethnological collection includes carnival-related objects, devotional, agricultural implements, utensils and textiles (including clothing). In addition, the museum has several changing exhibitions each year, there are activities and events and the museum shows regularly historical footage in the theater.

The Limburg Museum is since 2000 housed in a building designed by architect Jeanne Dekkers (born in Venlo).
